Teachers can use screencasting to show activities on a projector. Screencasting is a great idea because it shows step by step instruction. If something needs to be added or taken away the process is fairly simple. I can use screemcasting in my classroom for (first - then) activities or schedules. Also screencasting is great for students who are visual learners. Their activites can be designed then added to the computer to use for lesson plans.  I will continue to explore screencast to see what other ways I will be able to use it in the classroom.

Teachers can use cartoons to teach different learning styles.  Creating different cartoons for different scenarios can be used in an activty. Some students are able to look at a cartoon and understand what the picture is saying. Group projects can be used as cooperative learning. Students can come up with their own cartoon then challenge the other students to talk about it. Teachers can also ask open-ended questions that pertain to the picture. Getting feedback from the students will be the most interesting part. Everyone will have a different answer. Watching a student process information and giving them the time to answer the question is what its all about.  Designing my cartoons was  a lot of fun. I try to keep everything that I do simple because of the field and the children I have chosen to work with. Working with special needs children is a challenge. Finding out what excites and motivates them will be a year long work in progress. I think using cartoons will prove successful in my classroom.

This was my first experience with podcasting. It was really exciting! I found that this system is really sensitive to sound. After listeneing to my recording several times, I was finally able to eliminate a lot of my breathing. Podcasting is an excellent source of learning equipment for children who are auditory. I will be able to record books so that the students can listen to the book while reading the story. A nice project for the classroom would be for students to write a story then record the story to share with the other students. This would be a great cooperative learning exercise. I am so thankful that I am able to find lots of ways to help aide in the success of the classroom.

My first experience with Tappedin was very interesting. I logged into the Arts and Literacy session which focused on how to used posters in the classroom. I was amazed to find out how fast the conversation rolled. I did however learn some new and innovative ways of teaching with posters. Although I did not have much to say, I was engaged throughout the entire session. This is something that I know I will use from time to time.
